RUNNING FAQ'S
- What is a virtual run? A virtual run is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. At your own pace, you can run, jog, walk, on a trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track. Your 100 miles of activity may broken up into as many or as few segments as you would like. Your race SWAG will all be shipped to you. Once you are done, you submit your results on RunSignUp to track your progress.
- Why virtual? It is important that we do not lose sight of our physical and mental health during this time. A virtual run provides us the ability to exercise safely while also socially interacting with our community (online). While in-person engagement is ideal, online interaction can be a healthy way to reconnect with friends, family, and our running community. Whether you are an avid runner or an occasional hiker, our virtual experience is for everyone!
- When must I complete my run? The Conquer Catalina Island Virtual Challenge must be completed by December 31, 2020 for official results to be posted. You can begin to track your mileage of your run/walks after you have registered.
- Can I do multiple runs/walks in a day? Yes, if you track the accurate distance you may log those different distances per day. We encourage you to plan accordingly on this 100 Mile virtual experience and plan different days and distances to run, as well as recovery days!
- Is there a specific way to track our time? This virtual run, like most, are based on the honor system. You may track your time with an app on your phone, watch, or any fitness device of your choice.
- How do I submit my time? Each time you would like to log your progress will be through RunSignUp.
- Can I complete my virtual run before I have received my gear? You do not have to wait to receive your gear in the mail, you can complete your run at any time after you have registered.
- Are there awards? Although we will have a leaderboard and tracking on RunSignUp, we will not have an Overall Winner or Age Group Winners. The goal to accomplish 100-Miles is already a feat in its own, how quickly you’d like to accomplish it is up to you!
- How do I get my Finisher Certificate? From the online results page.
SHIPPING FAQ'S
- How much is shipping? Shipping is included in your registration, there is no additional cost.
- When should I expect to receive my gear? Your gear will begin being shipped out mid November for the Conquer Catalina Island Challenge.
- Is international shipping available? No, unfortunately for this event we only offer shipping within the United States.
